Leighton Buzzard

A new build 71 bed care home located to the East Leighton Buzzard town centre and located next door to the Leighton Buzzard Garden Centre.

After obtaining the site with planning permission, our client appointed Umaa for RIBA stages 4 onwards.

The building has been designed to reflect the local contextand domestic character of the area with varying ridge and eaves heights and comprises a mix of 2 and 2.5 storey construction helping the building sit harmoniously within its current context.

Following production of the working drawings package, co-ordination of the structural elements and services, and detailed design of ‘room-in-the-roof’ spaces, construction has started on site in May 2023 and is scheduled to be complete in Summer 2024.
