Melton Road Leicester

This project comprises two separate buildings on the same site, providing 32no. apartments in the first block and an 81 bed care home inthe second, along with landscaping and access works. Umaa was commissioned fordesign services from RIBA Stage 4 onwards.

One of the main challenges for the practice was to workunder intense timescales to meet the client’s scheduled programme, enabling the project to be started within 3 months from commissioning of the working drawings.

This was our client’s first project in the East Midlands region and ensuring quality and consistency of construction was of high importance, with all elements of architectural works being fully completed prior to start on site in Summer 2021.

The works were completed in early 2023, following aconstruction programme of approximately 18 months.
