Umaa was exclusively invited to provide architectural services (all RIBA stages) for this project.

This site is located in the area of the ‘Eastern Green’ sustainable urban extension on the rural outskirts of Coventry and was released from the green belt for development. The scheme accommodates 115 units, which are a mix of mainly detached and semi-detached homes with some terraced housing blocks and maisonettes.

The overall masterplan is designed to ensure qualityresidential streets creating opportunities for community neighbourhoods, play and quality suburban living. A community orchard sits at the heart of scheme and streets around the edge of the site look out onto open green spaces, with well landscaped front gardens.

The homes are designed in a ‘village’ style using traditional brick detailing and the variety in the overall material pallet across the development offers rich visual interest, whilst creating a sense of individuality and characterized streetscapes.

Construction of dwellings commenced on site in early Summer 2022 and is due to complete in early Summer 2024.
